Section 1
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ClauseMate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Section 2
Nature of the Service
ClauseMate is an informational and assistance tool designed for electricians, apprentices, and engineers.
The Service includes:
- Search and indexing of user-provided standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 4777)
- AI-generated responses via ClauseWizz (including text chat, voice input, and image-based search)
- Electrical calculators, circuit design tools, and compliance report generation
- Built-in quick reference tables and data packs
ClauseMate does NOT provide certified engineering, legal, or compliance advice.
Section 3
User Responsibility Critical
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for ensuring all electrical work complies with:
- AS/NZS standards
- Local regulations and state-specific requirements
- Site-specific conditions and installation requirements
- You must independently verify:
- Clause interpretations and AI-generated responses
- All calculation results before use on site
- Installation decisions and compliance reports
- ClauseMate must NOT be relied upon as the sole source of compliance verification.
Section 4
AS/NZS Standards Disclaimer
ClauseMate operates on user-uploaded standards and extracted content.
- We do NOT guarantee completeness or accuracy of extracted clauses
- We do NOT guarantee correct interpretation of AS/NZS standards
- We are NOT affiliated with Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand
Users must refer to official, licensed standards for authoritative guidance.
Section 5
AI Disclaimer
ClauseWizz uses artificial intelligence (including large language models) which may:
- Produce incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information
- Misinterpret queries or context
- Generate responses that do not fully reflect current standards
AI outputs — including text responses, voice transcriptions, and image-based analysis — are for guidance only and must be verified against official standards.
Section 6
Calculations Disclaimer
All calculations provided by ClauseMate (including load/demand, cable sizing, circuit protection, earthing, and circuit capacity calculators):
- Are indicative only
- May not account for all real-world variables (installation method, ambient conditions, grouping, thermal insulation, etc.)
You are responsible for verifying all calculations before use in any electrical installation.
Section 7
Limitation of Liability Important
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
ClauseMate is not liable for:
- Electrical faults, damage, or injury
- Non-compliant installations
- Financial loss or project delays
- Reliance on AI outputs, calculations, or compliance reports
Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
Section 8
Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Section 9
User Content
You confirm that:
- You have the legal right to upload any PDF or content
- You hold appropriate licences for any standards used
You grant ClauseMate permission to process this content solely to provide the Service. Uploaded content is stored in your session and is not shared with other users.
Section 10
Accounts & Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device, PIN, and login credentials
- All activity under your account or device
ClauseMate uses device-based authentication with optional cloud sync. You should enable biometric unlock or a strong PIN to protect your data.
Section 11
Payments & Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are processed securely via Stripe
- Billing is recurring (monthly or annual) unless cancelled
- Free tier usage limits apply; premium features require an active subscription
- Promotional codes and premium grants may provide temporary access
Refunds are provided only where required under Australian law.
Section 12
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are breached
- Misuse or abuse of the Service is detected
Section 13
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
